thats a bad ass truck, i just got a 2014 f-150 xlt 4×4 in gun metal grey, ive driven my dad's 3.5 EB, i like the 5.0 in mine better, and to be honest with you, it gets around the same gas mileage (even with my 3.73 ratio).
still love the truck, would like to see it against a raptor tho, just as a baseline

I read about this truck in their magazine it had 4.80 or 5.40 gearing i think and said something about getting wedged in a spot and flooring it then the tranny grenaded on the drive home at under 20k lol

Ford…Chevy… they're both crap, but of the two I'd take a Ford over a shivvy ANY day.

If you're smart but you HAVE TO HAVE a domestic truck, buy a Cummins powered Dodge (best Diesel and the PW is the most capable FS truck end of story). The Eco Boost "claims" are SUCH a load of crap too. Power? Yes, it's got a great power band. Economy? Not if you're USING any of that power (read: on the boost). The real world mileage is TERRIBLE in these trucks but they'll make great swap motors someday.

I hope their will come a day when I can #1 Bye a BRAND new F-150, #2 completely gut and re-build that same new truck, #3 take that freshly re-built brand new truck and destroy it (again) on the trails. Seems it would have been easier to build a IFS tube chassis with a EcoBoost drive train.
